About the Texas Economic Justice Initiative
The Economic Justice: Narrowing Service Gaps Project (“Economic Justice Initiative” or “EJI”) is a groundbreaking initiative that aims to narrow legal service gaps for low-income immigrants by mobilizing over 30 legal fellows and community justice workers to be housed at legal services providers across Texas. The project will implement cutting-edge strategies to address a wide range of civil law challenges, such as employment, consumer rights, and housing. This initiative seeks to transform immigrant access to justice throughout the state by fostering collaboration between legal professionals, local organizations, and empowered community members. This project will provide legal assistance and create a testing ground for new approaches to increase equity and accessibility.
